Synthetic Saliva is an aqueous solution of a protein, mucin, and the chelating agents sodium and triammonium citrate that reproduces the detergent and emulsifying characteristics of the natural saliva.
It can be used for light cleanings, for removing dusts or enzymatic gels. Synthetic Saliva is composed of two components (the lyophilized mucin and the citrate solution) which have to be mixed before using.
