A very carefully purified, uncooked wheat starch, suitable for archival use. The paste is prepared in a ratio of 1:5 (1 part powder to 5 parts distilled water). Heat and stir in a double boiler until thick. Or heat in a microwave for 20-30 seconds, remove and stir, repeat this cycle for 3-4 minutes until a smooth consistency is achieved. Cool for a few minutes before using. Wheat starch paste is completely safe for all paper art, photographs and books, non-staining, water reversible, pH neutral and strong enough for heavy prints. |
